End of Project Celebration
November 30 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
We thought it would nice if we could all get together at the end of the project and formally launch our CD and booklet on Belloc and Broadwood – free copies for all singers! There will be food laid on and a chance to all sing together one more time.
When, where and how
So, to confirm, we will all be meeting at the Sidney Walter Centre, Sussex Road, Worthing on Saturday November 30th at 7pm. There is a car park but probably best to arrive in good time to be sure of a place, otherwise it will be pot-luck in Sussex Road and surrounding streets (unrestricted after 6pm).
The Sidney Walter Centre is about a ten minute walk from Worthing railway station.
Food and drink
We thought it would be nice if we all brought food and combined our culinary skills. We have done this with previous projects and has produced much tastier food than relying on caterers. Hopefully everyone is OK with this? You don’t have to bring home-cooked delights, Lidl pork pies will be welcome too!
Doreen, the manager at the Sidney Walter Centre is happy for us to bring soft drinks but not alcoholic drinks – these must be bought at the bar (which will be open all evening).
Obviously we would love to sing! As a group but also individually. Anyone who would like to do a song or two on their own or with others, that would absolutely splendid. Whatever song you know and love and it doesn’t have to be folk.
The plan was (and still is) to have copies of the CD and project booklet to distribute at the celebration. Every BBB singer will get two free copies. We are very sure that the CD (or even CDs – there might be two) will be ready for the 30th – there is a small chance that the booklet might not be ready, but Chris has ordered in extra high strength coffee to keep himself wide awake and writing over the coming weeks!
Guests are welcome (spouses. close friends etc.) but please let us know as it would be very helpful to have an idea of numbers. Equally, if you are not coming it would be good to know that too (but hopefully not the case for many of you?)
